Randall Ussery is a Partner at Wildcat where he focuses on building the Wildcat tech entrepreneur ecosystem and early stage deal flow in the areas of FinTech, EdTech and B2B2C marketplaces.
Randall Ussery has 15 years of experience sitting at the intersection of design and business, bringing new products and business opportunities to life for startups and F1000 companies. Prior to joining Wildcat, Randall spent seven years incubating, investing, and advising on design and Go-to-Market for a portfolio of early stage startups across education, travel, retail, health and services. Two highlight companies are ambi, an education platform reimagining the learning experience for all students and teachers globally, and mFino, a banking as a service tech platform launched in 14 countries.
Prior to this he spent 2 years reporting to the CEO of Herman Miller and working with leading ID firms on new market innovation and go-to-market initiatives. He arrived at Herman Miller after helping design and build an early stage startup to define the sharing economy, LiquidSpace (a product of Venga Ventures). This was after spending four years building an eCommerce company in the outdoor retail industry.
Randall’s driving force is to make the world a more innovative, better place at scale, so when he is not building or investing in companies, he is lecturing at Babson College and HEC Paris with a focus on building early stage startups leveraging the Traction Gap and Crossing the Chasm frameworks from Wildcat. Randall received his MBA from Babson College, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, and received a BA in History from James Madison University.
