Derrick Lee brings nearly two decades of finance experience, the majority of which is focused in venture capital.  As Wildcat’s Chief Financial Officer, Derrick works with investment professionals and attorneys throughout all stages of deal financings to ensure Wildcat’s portfolio companies are successfully financed, including negotiating deal terms, constructing term sheets, and document review.  In addition to supporting the front office, Derrick leads a finance team through portfolio company valuations, quarterly closes, LP reporting, annual audit, annual meetings, portfolio and cash management, and a variety of internal reporting for our General Partners.  Derrick began his venture career at MDV in 2005, where he concurrently is the Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Wildcat, Derrick was with State Street Corporation.  At State Street, Derrick held various fund accounting, internal auditing and performance analysis roles for clients including the California State Teachers’ Retirement System.
