Generation Startup Movie Screening

PUBLISHED BY Wildcat Venture Partners

October 3, 2016

On Monday, October 3rd Wildcat had the honor of hosting one of the only screenings in the bay area for the film Generation Startup. The film gives you a glimpse into the struggles and triumphs of six recent college graduates who put everything on the line to build startups in Detroit. It is an honest, in-the-trenches look at what it takes to launch a startup, and resonates with anyone who has chosen to go down the demanding yet rewarding path.

The young men and women featured in Generation Startup are part of Venture For America (VFA), a program that sends recent college graduates to work at startups in fifteen cities around the country to train as entrepreneurs, and then helps them launch their own companies.

The intimate film screening was followed by an informative audience Q&A with award-winning filmmaker Cheryl Miller Houser and film subject Kate Catlin.
